I gave my bottle to my mother many years ago, who loves it and doesn't have the sensitivity problem I do.Sometimes perfumes you appreciate, are just not comfortable to wear. I can picture a woman in a pink buisiness suit when I smell this scent. But at least I can sneak a spray to reminisce whenever I'm home. I think this is the effect of the raspberry, tonka and resin notes. She wears the Guerlain elegance in a serious way but she's also a lot of fun! The citrus notes are fresh and subtile in the opening. This is sexy, but also let's cuddle and watch movies. I smell yummy...' but not the overly sweet candy bomb yummy, so that brings this for me to a more mature woman who wants to be and is sexy.. That all said, I do not think this is office appropriate, I guess depending on your office, though..haha!Every now and then the masochist in me craves some death by violets. They go very well with the fresh, feminine florals. There is a sweetness, but also the muskiness and sandalwood come through to keep this from being a sugar-bomb. Or maybe (obviously, as reading the reviews) this just translates differently for different women. The EDP is more linear in its development, but is a lot richer and dense throughout its evolution; you get the powder and candied Parma violets right away, but it's also a lot woodier, darker, spicier, and deeper in every way you can think of.Both have an anisic powder quality to it, although it's more intensive in the EDP.very similar to the now defunct Tuca Tuca by Lush, but with (only slightly) more subtlety, in keeping with Guerlain's love of good blending and a spot of Guerlinade in the base. But I suspect Tuca Tuca's ingredients may be more natural and less chemical than Insolence's EDT.
There is a delicate and soft violet waiting for you in the top notes, followed by red-fruits cocktail with raspberry domination. I have also noticed that Insolence and Pink Extasy by Montale share a kinship. I was convinced I wouldn't like it and was ready to dismiss it, but my oh my, this is lovely! The face of perfume is the movie star Hilary Swank, the Oscar-winner for the main role in the 'Million Dollar Baby' film. This perfume will most probably surprise the Guerlain perfumes fans, as it is rather unusual, modern and fruity sweet.I loved it and remember loving it and so decided to by a bottle with some Christmas money, I was craving a powdery purple flower scent. It will be a repurchase for me when I run out, I hope the new Bee Bottles are here to stay. After a few hours this scent really blooms into it's peak sweetness when the scent transforms from a dusting of scented face powder to a creamy high-end tube of lipstick. It's everything a perfume should be and smell like. Xo I have had this one when I was in high school and I really enjoyed wearing it - a bottle lasted a whole year, I still keep it and smell it from time to time. :) I feel such a beautiful candied raspberry here, along with the powdery violet. Maybe I oversprayed but that was with a spray on each wrist.Anyone who adores powdery makeup/lipstick scents will want this in their collection. It's so feminine and inviting, but at the same time far from typical or boring. Definitely a fragrance that makes me smile, very suitable for spring, could be worn with casual or more official clothes, more or less makeup and for almost any occasion I could think of. I just sprayed from the original bottle of this I got shortly after it was released in 2006, and it's still a complete beast of a perfume.
